en.Wedoany.com Reported - The Volcanes GEN2 program under the Chilean innovation platform Këtrawa, in collaboration with the Chilean Mining Innovation Enterprise Association (Minnovex), has launched a technology synergy meeting aimed at promoting technology transfer and joint development between the aquaculture and mining industries.

The meeting is scheduled for July 15, 2026, under the theme "From Seabed to Underground: Future Underwater Technology and Deep Mining," aiming to establish an equal dialogue between industries in northern and southern Chile. Këtrawa General Manager María José Urrutia stated that the company has identified technological solutions applicable to areas such as monitoring, biotechnology, and vessel operational safety in its northern operations, hoping to foster a new supplier ecosystem through industrial synergy.

Both oceanography and deep mining face common challenges in operational engineering, including improving productivity under extreme conditions, robotic automation, and reducing safety risks. Minnovex Chairman Tomás Bravo pointed out that the core challenge for both industries lies in visualizing invisible environments, creating space for cross-sector technology transfer.

The technical segment of the meeting will focus on exploring cross-industry collaboration cases. ChucaoTech will share its practice of nanobubble technology in optimizing water resources for salmon farming, which has achieved cross-learning through interaction with mining leaching and industrial wastewater treatment processes. Anker AI (a GEN2 pipeline member), a startup specializing in predictive maintenance, will demonstrate the application potential of its complex variable analysis architecture under the high resilience standards of the mining industry.

The event will conclude with a panel discussion, inviting Minnovex representatives, senior executives from aquaculture companies, and deep-tech founders to explore cross-industry open innovation business models and pathways for decentralizing Chile's intellectual capital. The meeting will be held online from 08:30 (Chile time) on July 15, 2026.
