Silverco Mining launches drilling program at La Negra project in Querétaro

Silverco CEO Mark Ayranto stated that the launch of this program is a key milestone. The strategic plan aims to complete 15,000 meters of drilling in 2026, focusing on evaluating high-grade silver zones to strengthen mining plans from the initial stages of mine operations. Ayranto expects preliminary results, an updated mineral resource estimate, and an official mine life plan for La Negra to be released in the second half of 2026. These developments will run in parallel with a concurrent 30,000-meter development program and the anticipated restart of the Cusi unit by the end of 2026.

The current drilling program is based on a historical database of over 2,850 drill holes and 230,000 meters accumulated over 50 years. Exploration activities are divided into two directions: surface drilling will initially focus on the Valenciana target, located less than one kilometer northwest of current mining operations; underground drilling will evaluate high-grade zones near existing infrastructure, including the Maravillas, Valeria, and Blanca deposits.

La Negra is classified as a silver-rich polymetallic (silver, lead, zinc, and copper) skarn deposit, belonging to a carbonate replacement system (CRD). Technical leaders noted that mineralization remains open both vertically and laterally, increasing the expansion potential of the mineral rights.
