en.Wedoany.com Reported - On November 5, Canadian mining exploration company Andina Copper released the latest drilling results from its Cobrasco porphyry copper-molybdenum project in Chocó Department, Colombia. Drill hole CDH014 intersected 76 meters grading 1.00% copper from a downhole depth of 52 meters, including a 32-meter high-grade interval grading 1.48% copper. The drilling further confirms the continuous distribution of near-surface high-grade copper mineralization in the northwestern part of the deposit.

Drill hole CDH014 returned 212 meters of mineralization averaging 0.50% copper, 112 ppm molybdenum, and 1.9 g/t silver from a downhole depth of 52 meters. The 76-meter high-grade interval averaged 191 ppm molybdenum and 2.9 g/t silver; the internal 32-meter interval, starting at a downhole depth of 60 meters, averaged 272 ppm molybdenum. Certain 2-meter sample intervals returned copper grades of up to 2.59%.

CDH014 shares a drilling platform with the earlier CDH013 hole and was drilled at a northeastward inclination to a final depth of 565.95 meters. The results from the two holes extend the near-surface high-grade copper mineralization zone approximately 350 meters to the northwest. High-grade copper mineralization is mainly hosted within microdiorite and magmatic-hydrothermal breccia, with the mineralized intervals containing minerals such as chalcopyrite, bornite, and molybdenite.

As of this announcement, results from 14 drill holes have been reported at the Cobrasco project, with cumulative drilling of approximately 11,000 meters. Drilling has delineated a mineralized footprint approximately 1,300 meters long and 550 to 700 meters wide, with the mineralized zone continuing to extend in multiple directions. The company is still drilling, and assay results from approximately 3,000 meters of additional drilling are pending.

Andina Copper plans to mobilize a second drill rig in the fourth quarter of 2026, focusing on testing the further extension of the high-grade mineralization zone. The existing rig will continue step-out drilling, and subsequent drill results will be used to refine the spatial distribution and mineralization continuity model of the orebody.
