en.Wedoany.com Reported - Tibet Mineral Development Co., Ltd. (000762.SZ) released its semi-annual performance forecast on July 13, 2026, expecting a net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company of 50 million to 66 million yuan for the period from January to June 2026, turning losses into profits compared to the same period last year, with a net profit year-on-year increase of 426.69% to 531.23%. The basic earnings per share are expected to be 0.096 to 0.127 yuan.

Tibet Mineral Development Co., Ltd. is the largest comprehensive mining enterprise in the Tibet Autonomous Region. It was listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange in 1997, with its headquarters located in Lhasa, Tibet Autonomous Region. The company's main business includes the production, processing, and sales of chromite and lithium concentrate, with major products including chromite, lithium carbonate, lithium concentrate, and potassium chloride. The company holds exclusive mining rights to the Zabuye Salt Lake in Tibet, which is the world's third-largest and Asia's largest lithium salt lake, and the only large-scale high-quality carbonate-type salt lake in China. It features high-grade lithium brine and a low magnesium-to-lithium ratio, making it one of the most resource-endowed salt lakes globally for lithium.

Regarding the reasons for the performance change, Tibet Mineral stated in the announcement that during the reporting period, driven by market supply and demand, lithium salt market prices rose significantly compared to the same period last year. With the capacity release following the commissioning of the company's Zabuye Phase II project, both sales volume and selling prices of lithium salt products increased, driving a significant rise in main business revenue and achieving a turnaround from losses to profits. The Zabuye Phase II project is a core initiative in Tibet Mineral's lithium resource development, with an annual designed production capacity of approximately 12,000 tons of lithium carbonate. It adopts a process of "salt pan evaporation + membrane separation + crystallization drying" and entered a capacity ramp-up phase in 2025.

The Zabuye Salt Lake is located in Zhongba County, Shigatse City, Tibet Autonomous Region, at an altitude of approximately 4,400 meters, covering a mining area of about 200 square kilometers with abundant lithium resource reserves. Tibet Mineral holds a 50.72% equity stake in Zabuye Lithium High-Tech Company, through which it exclusively mines the Zabuye Salt Lake. In recent years, the Tibet Autonomous Region has been continuously promoting the comprehensive development of salt lake resources, prioritizing lithium resources as a key strategic emerging industry. This performance forecast indicates that, under the dual benefits of lithium salt capacity release and rising market prices, Tibet Mineral has achieved a qualitative breakthrough in the profitability of its main business.
