en.Wedoany.com Reported - Canadian mining company Centenario Gold Corp. has released the latest rock sampling results from its Los Reyes project near the capital of Chihuahua, Mexico, positioning it as a high-potential copper-gold deposit. The report indicates that the company completed detailed mapping and sampling of old waste dumps and underground tunnel systems in the El Rey mining claim area in May, focusing on the contact zone between intrusive rocks and limestone, a region geologically known for hosting historical copper-bearing skarn belts.

Exploration activities concentrated on two historical mining areas within the claim, the Tueda pit and the Jibosa pit, which are 200 meters apart along the mineralized contact zone. According to the company's technical report, a total of 58 samples were collected in this campaign. Except for three grab samples and five chip samples collected from the surface, the remainder were channel samples taken across rock outcrops. The sample distribution is as follows: 5 samples from surface rock outcrops in the central area, 11 from old waste dumps and shallow surface pits in the Tueda pit area, and 42 from underground workings, with 12 from the Tueda mine and 30 from the Jibosa mine. Through this round of work, Centenario Gold is advancing the delineation of key targets to verify the resource potential of this historical mining area, thereby positioning the Los Reyes project as a significant asset in the base and precious metals exploration sector of northern Mexico.
