Voltaic Identifies 100-Meter Copper Mineralization Target in Western Australia, Initial Assays Indicate Copper Grades Up to 8.31%
en.Wedoany.com Reported - On September 11, Voltaic Strategic Resources announced the latest exploration results from its Meekatharra project in Western Australia, identifying multiple malachite-bearing gossan-type copper mineralization outcrops within approximately 100 meters at the El Dinero copper-gold target. Portable X-ray fluorescence analysis of 4 copper-bearing rock samples returned average indicated copper grades ranging from 1.88% to 8.31%, and all 40 rock samples have now been submitted to the laboratory for assay.

The 4 copper-bearing samples are numbered GS000546 to GS000549, with portable XRF average indicated copper grades of approximately 1.88%, 4.91%, 5.30%, and 8.31%, respectively. Readings from different test points on GS000549 ranged from 0.78% to 24.97%. The company emphasized that these data come from on-site screening of visually identified malachite and presumed chalcopyrite zones, are semi-quantitative results, and cannot directly represent the formal copper grade of the entire sample or the entire mineralized zone; final results are subject to laboratory assay.
This discovery is not the first occurrence of copper-gold mineralization at El Dinero. Among the laboratory rock chip samples announced by the company in June 2024, BRK0006 previously returned assay results of 2.57% copper and 2.25 g/t gold. This on-site work is a systematic follow-up after the company re-entered the target, and the mineralization currently manifests mainly as malachite-bearing gossan and indications of sulfide minerals.
Voltaic collected a total of 40 rock samples this time, of which 36 were mainly targeting gold and 4 were targeting newly identified copper mineralization. The E51/1909 tenement where El Dinero is located is part of the company's recently consolidated Meekatharra project assets. The company has not yet determined the strike and depth continuity of the copper mineralization, and the current stage remains surface exploration and target delineation.
In the next phase, Voltaic will await laboratory assay results for the 40 samples and return to El Dinero to carry out more systematic geological mapping and surface sampling to determine the extent, orientation, and continuity of the copper-gold mineralization. The company also plans to advance Aboriginal heritage, land access, and related permitting work to prepare conditions for potential maiden drilling.
Voltaic currently holds two major regional exploration assets in Western Australia, Gascoyne and Meekatharra, of which the Meekatharra project covers areas including Bundie Bore, Bluebird South, and Cue, with a total area of approximately 266 square kilometers, targeting metals including gold and copper.
