Tocvan Confirms 1.3-Kilometer Extension of Gold Mineralization at El Mezquite in Mexico
en.Wedoany.com Reported - On September 10, Tocvan Ventures announced the latest drilling results from the El Mezquite target area of the Gran Pilar gold-silver project in Sonora, Mexico, confirming continuous distribution of gold mineralization along a strike length of approximately 1.3 kilometers. Among the results, drill hole JES-26-162 returned a mineralized interval of 247.05 meters from surface, averaging 0.10 g/t gold and 2.61 g/t silver, making it one of the longest gold-bearing drill intervals announced to date at the Gran Pilar project.

Within hole JES-26-162, several higher-grade gold-silver mineralized intervals are included: a 6.10-meter interval grading 0.45 g/t gold and 5.68 g/t silver, including 1.53 meters grading 1.50 g/t gold and 8.50 g/t silver; a 10.68-meter interval grading 0.43 g/t gold and 7.16 g/t silver, including 3.05 meters grading 1.29 g/t gold and 17.80 g/t silver; and a 19.83-meter interval grading 0.27 g/t gold and 5.37 g/t silver, including 1.52 meters grading 26.10 g/t silver.
Among other drill holes announced during the same period, hole JES-26-163 returned a 23.15-meter mineralized interval from surface grading 0.17 g/t gold and 5.96 g/t silver, and a 16.65-meter interval from 145.80 to 162.45 meters averaging 0.44 g/t gold and 7.37 g/t silver, including 4.15 meters grading 1.03 g/t gold and 19.55 g/t silver. Hole JES-26-159 returned a 22.88-meter interval grading 0.23 g/t gold, including 1.53 meters grading 2.02 g/t gold and 11.40 g/t silver.
El Mezquite is located in the southern block of Gran Pilar, where mineralization corresponds to a magnetic anomaly zone approximately 1.3 kilometers long. Drill hole records show that the area hosts strongly silicified hydrothermal breccia, pyrite, arsenopyrite, and tourmaline, with indicator minerals such as sphalerite and galena also occurring at depth. All drill intervals announced by the company are drill lengths; true thicknesses have not yet been determined and are currently estimated at approximately 60%–80% of drill length.
These results continue the previous two El Mezquite drilling discoveries. The discovery hole JES-26-135 announced in April returned a 22.9-meter interval from surface grading 0.6 g/t gold; hole JES-26-155 announced in August returned a 215-meter mineralized interval starting at a downhole depth of 36.6 meters, grading 0.6 g/t gold and 3 g/t silver, including a local 1.5-meter interval grading 16.0 g/t gold and 56.9 g/t silver. JES-26-135 and JES-26-155 are approximately 600 meters apart along strike, and the new drill hole results further cover the area between and around them.
The El Mezquite mineralized zone is approximately 1.6–1.9 kilometers from the historical Main Zone at Gran Pilar and the planned 50,000-tonne trial production facility, and is accessible via existing roads. In the next phase, Tocvan will continue reverse circulation and core infill drilling as well as step-out drilling based on results from holes such as JES-26-155, JES-26-162, and JES-26-163, focusing on tracing the strike and dip extensions of the identified higher-grade mineralized zones.
