en.Wedoany.com Reported - AbraSilver Resource (TSX:ABRA) has intersected high-grade silver and gold mineralization during the sixth phase of drilling at its Diablillos project in Argentina.

Drill hole DDH 26-036 returned 109 meters grading 221.2 g/t silver and 0.72 g/t gold in the Oculto West zone. This includes a high-grade sub-interval of 14.0 meters at 580 g/t silver and 1.44 g/t gold starting at a depth of 49.0 meters.

Other drilling results include 7.6 meters grading 0.73% copper in a mixed oxide-sulfide zone, and 15 meters grading 0.54% copper in a sulfide zone. These results highlight the potential for copper and precious metal mineralization beneath the oxide zone.

Drilling has confirmed extensive silver and gold mineralization in a previously undrilled area of Oculto West, while also extending mineralization beyond the current conceptual open-pit boundary.

This discovery indicates potential for resource expansion beyond the mine plan outlined in the recently completed Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS).

CEO John Miniotis stated that with the completion of the DFS, exploration efforts have returned to unlocking the long-term growth potential of the Diablillos district. He noted that the broad intercept at Oculto West fills a significant gap in drilling and confirms the continuity of high-grade silver and gold mineralization beyond the DFS mine plan.

Drill hole DDH 26-022 intersected silver mineralization along the JAC-Oculto trend below the current conceptual open pit, returning 28 meters grading 65.4 g/t silver and 0.31 g/t gold starting at a depth of 164 meters.

In the Oculto East zone, multiple gold mineralized intervals were intersected in drill holes DDH 26-028, 26-032, and 26-034. Drilling continues to define the extent of mineralized structures beyond the current conceptual open-pit boundary.

Initial drilling has commenced at the Cerro Viejo target. Previous trench sampling at this target identified widespread gold mineralization over approximately 1.5 kilometers within an east-west trending silicified structure.

The Diablillos project hosts proven and probable mineral reserves of 77.9 million tonnes at a silver-equivalent grade of 146 g/t, containing 184 million ounces of silver and 1.8 million ounces of gold.

AbraSilver Resource is a silver-gold developer advancing the Diablillos project in Argentina, where over 170,000 meters of drilling have been completed to date.
