en.Wedoany.com Reported - The 2998.75kWp distributed photovoltaic grid-connected power generation project built by Xiongchuang Microgrid on the rooftop of the Lvjian Steel Structure Production Base in Zhaoqing, Guangdong, was fully connected to the grid and began generating electricity on July 13, 2026, through China Southern Power Grid. The project utilizes the large-span idle rooftop of the factory's steel structure, arranges high-efficiency photovoltaic modules, and is equipped with Xiongchuang's self-developed intelligent microgrid control system, adopting an operation model of self-consumption with surplus electricity fed into the grid.

The total installed capacity of the project is 2998.75kWp. During construction, which coincided with the rainy season in Zhaoqing, the project faced challenges such as complex factory production workflows, numerous grid connection approval procedures, and a tight schedule. The Xiongchuang Microgrid project team carried out comprehensive planning. After commissioning, the project is expected to generate approximately 2.93 million kWh of clean green electricity annually. The generated power is prioritized for the factory's production workshops, directly offsetting peak commercial and industrial electricity prices, while surplus electricity is sold to the grid. According to the designed lifecycle calculations, the project can save approximately 879 tons of standard coal, reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 2,320 tons, and lower emissions of pollutants such as sulfur dioxide and dust each year.

Against the backdrop of concentrated manufacturing industries in Guangdong, a large number of steel structure, hardware, and equipment manufacturing enterprises possess extensive idle factory rooftops. The model of distributed photovoltaics combined with intelligent microgrids is becoming a mainstream solution for enterprises to reduce operating costs and promote green transformation. Xiongchuang Microgrid focuses on the commercial and industrial photovoltaic and park microgrid sectors in South China, offering customized energy services for steel structure factories, industrial parks, and manufacturing bases, including free preliminary surveys, revenue calculations, multiple cooperation models (investment, EPC, O&M), a remote intelligent microgrid monitoring platform, and full-process agency for filing and grid connection acceptance procedures.
