en.Wedoany.com Reported - The power grid facilities in the Stavropol Territory are set to undergo modernization. Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak and Stavropol Territory Governor Vladimir Vladimirov discussed this topic during a working meeting.

The meeting reviewed a series of breakthrough projects implemented in the region as part of the North Caucasus economic development model. This model has been in effect since November 2021 and was approved at a strategic meeting chaired by the Prime Minister. Under this framework, the "Green Energy Development" project has been commissioned, several large enterprises have been built within existing projects, and breakthrough projects in other directions are progressing as planned.
Regarding the prospects for grid modernization, both sides noted that a long-term plan through 2030 has been jointly developed with Rosseti, the Russian grid company, involving an investment of approximately 8.5 billion rubles to implement over 40 measures. Among these, the largest-scale work involves the expansion and renovation of seven substations in the region's major cities: Yessentuki, Kislovodsk, Stavropol, and Nevinnomyssk. Additionally, two new power supply centers are planned for design in Stavropol and Lermontov to enhance energy security in these areas.
