en.Wedoany.com Reported - On July 11, Pingsong Station on the Xinghe Railway officially received approval from the China Railway Beijing Group to commence freight operations. This marks a key step in the "one line, two parks" strategic layout of the Xinghe Railway, following the commissioning of the Baimahe Freight Yard, and signifies the company's autonomous loading and unloading capacity advancing from a "single-park pilot" to a "dual-park support" model.

Since its opening in July 2024, the Xinghe Railway has established a "one, two, three, six" operational development strategy, prioritizing the enhancement of loading and unloading capacity and the construction of independent logistics nodes, and proposing the "one line, two parks" development approach. This approach is based on the newly built freight yards at Baimahe Station in the east and Pingsong Station in the west, forming a new logistics pattern of "integrated station and yard, mutual support between two parks." The Baimahe Freight Yard was put into operation first, accumulating experience and market reputation for operations; the approval of the Pingsong Freight Yard moves the "two parks" from blueprint to implementation, providing support for the Xinghe Railway to integrate into the regional comprehensive transportation network.

The construction of the Pingsong Freight Yard faced challenges such as a tight schedule, high standards, and heavy coordination tasks. The company strictly adhered to the relevant technical specifications of the China State Railway Group and the Beijing Group, completed the construction of the yard's hardware facilities, and simultaneously initiated the freight operation application process, engaging with relevant business departments of the Beijing Group multiple times to fulfill all review requirements. The yard passed the Beijing Group's acceptance inspection in one go and obtained operational qualifications.

Located at the border of Shanxi and Hebei provinces, the Pingsong Freight Yard radiates to the main coal-producing areas in central and southern Shanxi, and can connect to markets in North China, East China, and coastal regions. Its opening and operation enable the Xinghe Railway to independently handle the distribution, transfer, and multimodal transport of bulk commodities, making it an important logistics hub for transporting Shanxi coal eastward and ore westward. As the western endpoint of the "Xinghe-Huanghua" land-sea intermodal corridor, it effectively links trunk railways such as the Beijing-Guangzhou, Handan-Huanghua, and Yangquan-Shekou lines, enhancing regional transport organization efficiency and promoting deep economic integration between Shanxi and Hebei provinces, as well as optimizing the transport structure in North China.

The approval of operations at the Pingsong Freight Yard strengthens the corridor function of the Xinghe Railway in its early operational phase, creating conditions for the company's transformation and upgrade from "corridor transport" to "end-to-end logistics." Next, the company will explore the synergistic value of the "two parks" and the corridor, optimize transport service products, expand value-added logistics chain services, and provide support for the development of the logistics corridor in central and southern Shanxi and Hebei.
