en.Wedoany.com Reported - Germany's Siemens Energy announced on Tuesday that it has initiated organizational and logistical preparations to formally change its corporate entity name to "Omterra" and adopt a new brand identity. As part of the group's overall structural reorganization, the existing entities "Siemens Energy" and "Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy" will be merged into a unified new commercial name, "Omterra."

The company's official statement noted that this structural adjustment stems from the expiration of a limited-term brand licensing agreement, which stipulated the usage rights of the "Siemens" name after the company and its subsidiaries were spun off from the parent company, Siemens AG, in 2020.

The group stated that the new visual and software identity "Omterra" is planned to be rolled out later this year, implemented gradually across multiple operational phases to ensure a smooth logistical transition in global cross-border markets. The company assured customers, employees, business partners, and investors that the group's overall strategic direction, existing contracts, and credit obligations will remain unchanged, and it will continue to advance plans to enhance grid efficiency and support the green transition, operating under a new independent framework.
