en.Wedoany.com Reported - German rental company Krandienst Süderau has purchased a new 250-ton Tadano AC 5.250L-2 all-terrain crane to replace an older 220-ton unit of the same brand.

The five-axle AC 5.250L-2, launched at last year's Bauma trade fair, features a 79-meter main boom in eight sections, with a 5.8 to 30-meter lattice extension, achieving a maximum tip height of 112 meters. The crane is equipped with Tadano's IC 1 Plus and Surround View systems, along with Eco mode and start-stop functionality to reduce fuel consumption and emissions. The company also ordered a surround-view camera system and installed load monitoring cameras on the main boom. During its first operation, the crane loaded and repositioned heavy containers at a nearby power plant.
Managing Director Max Lindemann stated that the company regularly updates its fleet, and this acquisition was driven by the need to find a replacement for the existing 220-ton Tadano crane. The company had been monitoring the model since its launch and ultimately decided to purchase it due to its multiple advantages. He also mentioned that the company ordered a 12-meter extension for the crane, including a heavy-duty spreader, to further expand its working range when needed. This gives the crane, equipped with 80 tons of counterweight, strong versatility, suitable for high-altitude lifting or scenarios where loads need to be moved over obstacles.
Founded in 2002 and headquartered in Süderau, northwest of Hamburg, the company operates a fleet of all-terrain cranes ranging from 40 to 400 tons and provides specialized transport services, with a team of 15 employees.
