en.Wedoany.com Reported - On July 13, Gao Hongbin, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of China Iron & Steel Research Institute Group (CISRI), led a delegation to visit the Chinese Society of Rare Earths (CSRE) and held talks with Li Bo, President of CSRE. The two sides reviewed their deep cooperative history and engaged in in-depth discussions on topics including technological innovation in the rare earth industry, industry-academia-research collaboration, joint construction of industry platforms, and talent cultivation. Zhao Dongliang, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of CISRI, and Yang Zhanfeng, Vice President and Secretary-General of CSRE, attended the meeting.
Gao Hongbin expressed gratitude to CSRE for its long-standing support to CISRI. He noted that as a national strategic scientific and technological force in the field of new metallurgical materials in China, CISRI has continuously invested in directions such as rare earth permanent magnets and rare earth functional materials, establishing a complete chain from basic research, pilot-scale testing, to industrial application. This has created unique advantages in achieving self-reliance and control over key rare earth materials, transforming scientific achievements, and deeply integrating industry, academia, and research. Outlining the Group's "15th Five-Year Plan," Gao Hongbin elaborated on its medium- and long-term development goals and strategic layout, emphasizing that the Group will continue to adhere to the "Four Orientations" and proactively assume responsibility for safeguarding the security of China's rare earth industry chain and supply chain.
Li Bo systematically introduced the history, core functions, and organizational structure of CSRE, and reported on the progress of the Society's key initiatives. He clarified the core objectives and work plans for the next phase in serving the rare earth industry and supporting the development of national strategic resources. Li Bo reviewed the years of collaborative efforts between the two sides in tackling key challenges and advancing industry technology, stating that the Society will continue to act as a bridge and bond, fully supporting CISRI's technological innovation and industrial development in the rare earth field.
Zhao Dongliang introduced CISRI's collaborative development with industry associations in technological innovation in recent years. Yang Zhanfeng thanked CISRI for its strong support of the Society's work and expressed anticipation for deepening cooperation and seeking mutual development.
