en.Wedoany.com Reported - On July 14, the domestically produced nuclear-grade ion exchange resin, jointly developed by Hainan Nuclear Power, the Nuclear Power Institute of China, and Xi'an Lanshen Technology, passed the authoritative product certification by the China Nuclear Energy Association. Hainan Nuclear Power has become the first nuclear power enterprise in China to complete in-reactor validation of domestically produced nuclear-grade resin in the primary loop of a commercial unit, breaking through the final barrier of localization under real unit operating conditions. This achievement establishes a complete technical closed loop of "design and development, manufacturing, external evaluation, and in-reactor validation," adaptable to mainstream reactor types such as the Hualong One, providing material support for the export of China's nuclear power equipment and technology, marking a milestone breakthrough in the independent control of key chemical materials for China's nuclear power.
Nuclear-grade ion exchange resin is a critical material for water purification in the primary loop of a reactor, playing a key role in purifying the primary loop water environment, reducing equipment corrosion, and controlling the radioactive level of the unit. It is an essential core consumable for the safe and long-term operation of nuclear power plants.
Based on this achievement at Hainan Nuclear Power, China's nuclear power industry will coordinate the large-scale deployment of this resin, continuously releasing the value of independent innovation achievements in nuclear power materials.
