en.Wedoany.com Reported - Aviation Capital Group LLC (ACG) announced a long-term lease agreement with Canada's WestJet for 13 Boeing 737-10 aircraft. Previously, ACG delivered two Boeing 737-8 aircraft to WestJet in February 2026.

ACG expects to deliver the world's first Boeing 737-10 to WestJet from its order book after obtaining type certification. This aircraft model will be integrated into WestJet's fleet renewal strategy, providing additional capacity for growth in Canada and international operations. By expanding its Boeing narrowbody fleet with the 737-10, WestJet can benefit from operational commonality while improving fuel efficiency, reducing emissions, and lowering per-seat costs.

ACG CEO and President Thomas Baker stated that both parties are firmly committed to the 737-10 model, with cumulative orders exceeding 140 aircraft, making ACG the leading lessor customer for this model and WestJet one of the largest airline customers. This agreement reflects the strategic value of ACG's Boeing order book and its ability to support WestJet's future development.

WestJet Group CFO and Executive Vice President Mike Scott noted that this long-term lease agreement supports WestJet's growth plans, adding flexibility while expanding capacity to meet passenger demand. Shifting deliveries to the 737-10 helps ensure the fleet has the right aircraft for long-term reliable operations.

As a launch customer for the 737-10, ACG is a major aircraft lessor for Boeing's newest and largest 737 MAX variant. Compared to older models being replaced, the 737-10 offers approximately 20% higher revenue potential per seat and about 20% lower fuel consumption. To date, the 737-10 has received over 1,400 orders, accounting for 30% of the 737 MAX order backlog.
