en.Wedoany.com Reported - Shopping La Vie Guarda will meet most of its energy needs through a renewable energy community. The project, led by Widerproperty and SES Energia, is expected to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by more than 300 tons annually.

The renewable energy community is based on two solar photovoltaic power plants, with a total of 1,886 solar panels installed, a capacity of 1.14 megawatts peak (MWp), and an annual power generation of nearly 2 gigawatt-hours (GWh), covering approximately 60% of the shopping center's energy consumption. This initiative was announced during the annual "Green Action" campaign.
SES Energia stated that the renewable energy community helps reduce and stabilize electricity costs while promoting the use of locally produced clean energy. Marcos Gomes, General Manager of Retail Operations at Widerproperty, emphasized that the project aligns with the company's Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and decarbonization goals, and that the partnership with SES Energia is a strategic move to make Shopping La Vie Guarda more sustainable.
The project also has the capacity to incorporate new stores and other users within the coverage area of the municipality of Guarda, allowing more participants to benefit from renewable energy.
