en.Wedoany.com Reported - ScottishPower will offer customers with smart meters two hours of half-price electricity during the FIFA World Cup final.

This is the second time ScottishPower has held such a promotion. Previously, the company provided customers with an additional 12 hours of half-price electricity during each World Cup group stage match in Scotland and England, benefiting over 30,000 customers.
Andrew Ward of ScottishPower said this is a way for the company to help customers make the most of the occasion. He noted that football brings people together like few other events, and the company wants to give customers another opportunity to save money while watching the game. He also pointed out that this is a case of helping customers better control their energy usage and save money at the most important moments.
To use this offer, ScottishPower customers need to have a smart meter and agree to automatically share half-hourly readings. Additionally, they should download the SP app, register for Power Saver Plus, and ensure notifications are enabled to receive reminders before the World Cup final starts, allowing them to opt in to the savings event.
