en.Wedoany.com Reported - On July 20, Wang Weiming, Chief Engineer of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, stated at a press conference held by the State Council Information Office that China's industrial economy operated steadily overall in the first half of the year. Integrated circuit exports surged 88.7% year-on-year, intelligent computing power reached 2185 EFLOPS, and humanoid robot products accounted for more than half of the global total.

Wang Weiming noted strong global demand for artificial intelligence and green, low-carbon transformation. In the first half of the year, the export value of integrated circuits, electronic components, and wind turbine generators, denominated in RMB, increased by 88.7%, 62.6%, and 35.6% year-on-year, respectively.

Regarding computing infrastructure construction, as of the end of June, China's intelligent computing power reached 2185 EFLOPS (2185 exaflops per second). The overall rack rate of national computing facilities was 71.4%, and 52 intelligent computing facilities with over 10,000 cards had been built. Over the past two years, more than 70 major computing corridors have been established around national computing hub nodes, improving network performance between related nodes by 10%.

The humanoid robot sector is developing rapidly. China-developed quadruped robots account for nearly 70% of global sales share, and the number of humanoid robot products exceeds 400, representing more than half of the global total.

Global cumulative downloads of open-source AI large models have exceeded 10 billion. The adoption rate of AI technology in manufacturing enterprises above designated size has surpassed 30%. The quantum computing prototype "Jiuzhang 4.0" set a world record in photonic quantum information technology, and the world's first invasive brain-computer interface medical device received market approval.

Regarding the construction of next-generation communication networks, Xie Cun, spokesperson for the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and Director of the Information and Communication Administration Bureau, stated that the next-generation communication network is primarily reflected in innovations in four areas: connected objects, coverage scope, connectivity capabilities, and network functions. Connected objects have expanded from traditional individual users to diverse entities including people, machines, things, and embodied intelligence. Coverage scope has broken through traditional ground limitations to achieve integrated air-space-ground-sea full coverage. Connectivity capabilities have achieved deterministic improvements, and network functions have evolved from simple information transmission to deep integration of multiple capabilities such as communication, sensing, computing, intelligence, and security. The next step will involve strengthening core technology innovation in areas such as 6G mobile communication, ultra-high-speed optical communication, submarine cables, and satellite communication.

In the first half of the year, the added value of the equipment manufacturing industry increased by 6.4% year-on-year, contributing 23.5% to the growth of industrial added value above designated size. Among them, industrial robot production increased by 28% year-on-year, and service robot production increased by 11.9%. A total of 41 C919 large passenger aircraft have been delivered, and the CR450 high-speed EMU completed full-vehicle testing. In terms of ship equipment, the world's first 10,000-car carrier was successfully delivered, and China's second large cruise ship, "Ada Huacheng," completed sea trials. The export delivery value of the equipment manufacturing industry increased by 18.2% year-on-year, contributing nearly 50% to the growth of industrial exports.

In the first half of the year, the added value of the pharmaceutical industry above designated size increased by 6.4% year-on-year, and 38 innovative drugs received market approval, including 31 domestically developed ones. A number of innovative achievements received market approval, including the world's first anti-hepatitis D antibody drug, the world's first solid tumor CAR-T therapy, and the world's first rabies bispecific antibody.

In the first half of the year, the added value of the electronic information manufacturing industry increased by 14.8% year-on-year, and investment increased by 6.5%. In the first five months, operating revenue exceeded 7.5 trillion yuan, up 17.1% year-on-year, and profits exceeded 420 billion yuan. The number of 5G base stations reached 5.102 million, and the number of 10G PON ports with gigabit network service capability reached 32.86 million. There were over 80,000 5G industry virtual private networks, more than 26,000 "5G + Industrial Internet" projects under construction nationwide, and 1,260 5G factories had been built.

Data from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology shows that from January to May, China's software business revenue exceeded 6.2 trillion yuan, an increase of 10.3% year-on-year. From January to May, the total profit of industrial enterprises above designated size increased by 18.8% year-on-year. In the first half of the year, the added value of industries above designated size increased by 5.4% year-on-year, with industry contributing over 35% to economic growth. Among 41 major industrial categories, 32 maintained growth.

Wang Weiming stated that the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will continue to optimize the deployment of computing infrastructure resources, build computing interconnection nodes, and improve the utilization efficiency of computing resources. Specific measures include optimizing the supply and deployment of computing resources, strengthening computing coordination and monitoring, conducting technical research on new transmission protocols and inter-card interconnection, deepening the "millisecond computing" action in metropolitan areas, promoting computing interconnection, and implementing a special action to empower small and medium-sized enterprises with inclusive computing power.
