China's SIPG Unveils Full-Chain AI Port Product Suite at 2026 WAIC

(SIPG) hosted the "AI Empowers Smart Port Global Shipping Ecosystem Forum" during the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC), unveiling a comprehensive AI innovation product suite covering the entire chain from underlying data to execution applications. The forum, organized by SIPG and co-organized by its subsidiaries Nezha Smart Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Haibo Digital Technology Co., Ltd., was held at the Shanghai Expo Center. Over a hundred representatives from research institutes, major domestic and international port operators, leading AI technology companies, and upstream and downstream industry players attended the forum to discuss how AI is reshaping the global port logistics landscape.

During the forum, SIPG launched multiple AI innovation products. Among them, the "Fire-Wheel Dataset" transforms scattered real-world information, such as millions of terminal operation records and equipment working conditions, into a high-value knowledge base, providing a high-quality, trustworthy "test set" for AI training in the port domain. The "Lotus Platform" is an AI foundational capability base specifically built for ports. It offers intelligent decision-making through a "dual-core drive" combining large and small models, enables full lifecycle management of intelligent agents—from design and development to operation and optimization—via an agent management platform, and fosters an open, intelligent, and collaborative port agent ecosystem through its skill hub and connection hub.

At the application level, Nezha Technology officially unveiled AITOS, China's first new-generation terminal operating system based on an AI-native architecture. The system integrates a full-chain intelligent agent cluster covering planning, scheduling, and execution, and supports direct command input via natural language, enabling frontline terminal operators to conduct production tasks more intuitively and conveniently. This creates a new port operation model of "system sensing data, AI-assisted decision-making, and agent execution."

To promote the replication and scaling of these innovations, SIPG, Nezha Technology, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and Tongji University jointly compiled and released the "White Paper on Port Agent Construction," providing global port operators and solution providers with a panoramic technical roadmap from top-level design to on-the-ground implementation.

This "data + model + agent + application" four-in-one product suite represents the latest research achievement of the world's largest container port in the field of AI applications, outlining a clear blueprint for the port industry's transition from "labor- and resource-intensive" to fully "technology- and knowledge-intensive." The suite aims to provide a new technological paradigm for green and smart port construction, helping ports enhance throughput capacity and core competitiveness while reducing operational costs and business risks. Additionally, forum participants explored topics such as AI technology development trends, the practice of AI and quantum computing in ports, autonomous driving in the port and shipping sector, comprehensive application of international standards for port terminals, and the construction of port world models. Attendees agreed that AI can bring significant benefits to the port sector, and called for strengthened international exchanges and deepened cooperation across the industry chain to contribute to the high-quality development of the global shipping ecosystem.
