en.Wedoany.com Reported - Dreadnought Resources (ASX:DRE) has identified 12 gold mineralized corridors after completing assays from 380 air-core drill holes at the Illaara Gold Project in Western Australia. These corridors range in strike length from approximately 1.5 kilometers to over 7 kilometers, containing gold and indicator elements associated with orogenic systems, including silver, arsenic, molybdenum, antimony, tellurium, and tungsten.

The assay results are part of a completed 500-hole program totaling approximately 35,000 meters. This marks the first systematic air-core drilling across the 800-square-kilometer project. Dreadnought stated that the program has tested approximately 10% of the Illaara greenstone belt and identified nearly 40 kilometers of mineralized corridors.

Managing Director Dean Tuck said the wide-spaced drilling was designed to identify structures requiring further detailed exploration. Tuck stated: "Our first round of drilling had two objectives: find structures worth following up and eliminate areas with no potential, narrowing down the large area to a handful of priority targets most likely to deliver a discovery." The drilling extended the Black Oak corridor to over 7 kilometers. Results include: 21 meters @ 0.3 g/t gold from surface, including 3 meters @ 1.10 g/t gold from 3 meters; another hole intersected 9 meters @ 0.5 g/t gold at 33 meters, including 3 meters @ 1.4 g/t gold from 36 meters. At CRA-Homestead (extending approximately 2 kilometers), drilling intersected 30 meters @ 0.2 g/t gold at 90 meters.

The wide-spaced drilling also identified an additional 10 anomalous mineralized corridors beyond Black Oak and CRA-Homestead. Dreadnought plans to commence infill drilling on priority targets in August to better define the mineralized structures. Additionally, first-pass drilling will begin on untested areas of Illaara, while pending assay results from the completed program are expected to be released within the month.

The company acquired Illaara from Newmont (NYSE:NEM) in 2019, subsequently consolidating the remainder of the greenstone belt through follow-up acquisitions. Illaara contains the Metzke's Find mineral resource: 150,100 tonnes at 5.20 g/t gold, containing 24,900 ounces of gold, with the resource remaining open along strike and at depth.
