San Cristóbal de La Laguna, Spain, Tenders 90kW Rooftop Solar PV Project
en.Wedoany.com Reported - The City Council of San Cristóbal de La Laguna, in the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spain, recently issued a tender notice for the installation of a self-consumption solar photovoltaic power station on the roof of the municipal building, with an installed capacity of 90 kilowatts.

The total budget for the project is €198,678, with a construction period set at three months, and the bid submission deadline is July 30. The evaluation procedure adopts an open tender method and is processed under an urgent procedure. The power station will consist of 188 solar photovoltaic modules, each with a power output of 540 watts peak, manufactured by Chinese manufacturer Shanghai JA Solar, model JAM72S30‑540/GR. During peak sunlight hours, the maximum power generation capacity of the station can reach 101.52 kilowatts peak. The generated electricity will be immediately delivered to the building's electrical system via three inverters from German manufacturer SMA, two of which are model STP 50‑80 and the other model STP 25‑50.
The photovoltaic modules will be fixed using coplanar brackets with a tilt angle of 2 to 3 degrees, distributed on the south-facing roof. The technical proposal indicates that the station is free from shading, ensuring full utilization of solar irradiation. The installation will adopt a system that does not require mechanical anchoring to the roof, in order to protect the waterproof asphalt surface and avoid compromising its integrity or creating future water infiltration paths. The system features aluminum alloy profiles with height-adjustable supports, and ballast blocks placed on the metal structure to prevent wind from displacing or lifting the solar modules.
The project will use solar photovoltaic cables with cross-sections of 6 mm² and 10 mm², made of black or red flexible tinned copper wire, model Solar H1Z2Z2‑K, CPR Eca class. The project is expected to receive funding from the European Regional Development Fund (FEDER) program.
