en.Wedoany.com Reported - Fundamental Advisors, an alternative asset manager focused on municipal, public utility, and community assets, announced the acquisition of BlueSky Helicopters, a Southern California-based aerial services operator. The latter primarily provides firefighting, utility services, and other essential aviation services. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Headquartered in Southern California, BlueSky Helicopters operates specialized helicopter services in the western United States, covering aerial firefighting, power line support, utility and construction services, animal surveys, and other essential aerial operations. The company's current fleet consists of five helicopters, including four Black Hawks and one Bell 407. The BlueSky team has long provided mission-critical aviation services to leading energy companies and state and federal public safety agencies.

This acquisition expands Fundamental's public service helicopter platform fleet to 24 aircraft, while establishing a significant foothold in one of the most active aerial firefighting and utility service markets in the United States. BlueSky's in-house maintenance capabilities are expected to enhance the platform's operational expertise and aircraft availability, supporting Fundamental's continued advancement of this strategy.

"BlueSky is exactly the kind of company we wanted to partner with as we build our public service helicopter platform," said Ryan Keane, Senior Managing Director at Fundamental Advisors. "This company has earned a strong reputation by providing critical firefighting and utility services in one of the most important public safety and infrastructure markets in the United States. This acquisition significantly expands our presence in the western U.S., deepens our relationships with core utility and public safety clients, and adds valuable maintenance and operational capabilities. We look forward to working with the BlueSky team to continue developing a diversified helicopter platform that supports essential public safety and infrastructure needs nationwide."

"Fundamental aligns with our long-standing commitment to safety, reliability, and exceptional service," said Bryan Robinson, CEO of BlueSky Helicopters. "For years, our team has supported clients operating in some of the most demanding environments in the United States, and we are proud of the reputation we have built with key utility customers. With Fundamental's support, we will gain additional resources and operational security to continue delivering the high-quality service our clients expect and to embark on the next phase of growth."

This acquisition is the latest move in Fundamental's public service helicopter strategy, launched in 2025 to support companies providing mission-critical aviation services across the United States. Its core focus is on partnering with operators that deliver essential public safety, utility infrastructure, and emergency response services, while providing these companies with the capital, operational resources, and platform support needed to expand in a fragmented market.
