Dabur India Partners with GreenLine to Deploy LNG Trucks

en.Wedoany.com Reported - GreenLine Mobility Solutions, part of the Essar Group, on Wednesday partnered with consumer goods company Dabur India to deploy liquefied natural gas (LNG)-powered trucks in its logistics network, aiming to reduce supply chain carbon emissions.

Under the agreement, switching to LNG-powered trucks is expected to lower emissions during long-haul freight transport while maintaining operational efficiency and reliability. Financial details of the agreement were not disclosed.

GreenLine currently operates over 1,000 LNG and electric heavy-duty trucks in India, serving industries such as steel, mining, and consumer goods, and runs refueling stations through its subsidiary Ultra Gas and Energy Ltd.

Samrat Sehgal, Global Supply Chain Director at Dabur India, said the partnership integrates low-emission transport into its logistics system, supporting the company's sustainability roadmap. Devlin D'Costa, a GreenLine executive, noted that the deal reflects a growing trend among Indian companies to adopt low-emission logistics strategies.

As the world's third-largest greenhouse gas emitter, Indian companies have invested billions of dollars to help the country achieve its net-zero emissions target by 2070.
