en.Wedoany.com Reported - China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and seven other departments jointly issued the "Implementation Opinions on Promoting the High-Quality Development of the Industrial Internet" (hereinafter referred to as the "Implementation Opinions") in July 2026, proposing that by 2030, the added value of core industries will exceed 2.5 trillion yuan, and a relatively complete basic institutional system for industrial data will be initially established; by 2035, a globally leading industrial internet infrastructure system will be built.

The "Implementation Opinions" systematically deploys 18 specific tasks across five areas: infrastructure, technological innovation, integrated applications, security assurance, and industrial ecology. Yu Xiaohui, President of the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, stated that China's industrial internet has evolved from "from 0 to 1" in system construction to "from 1 to 10" in scale expansion, with its systematic development firmly ranking among the world's top tier. Lu Chunzong, President of the China Academy of Industrial Internet, pointed out that the "Implementation Opinions" are grounded in the objective laws of industry, constructing a three-dimensional coordinate system for high-quality development in the new stage from breadth, depth, and height.

In recent years, the core industry scale of China's industrial internet has exceeded 1.6 trillion yuan, driving an increase in industrial added value of approximately 2.5 trillion yuan. The number of "5G + Industrial Internet" projects has surpassed 25,000, the total identifier registration volume has exceeded 740 billion, there are over 340 industrial internet platforms with significant industry influence, and the National Industrial Internet Big Data Center has aggregated over 1.7 billion industrial data entries. Industrial internet applications have covered 41 major industrial categories and 185 medium industrial categories.

At the 2026 Industrial Internet Conference, achievements such as industrial ontology semantic modeling methods, the Industrial Embodied Intelligent Robot Training Dataset 2.0, an identifier resolution-based industrial intelligent agent network interconnection testbed, and the first "5G + AI + New Industrial Control" factory innovation practice were released.

Wu Hequan, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, divided the industrial internet into three stages: closed industrial control private networks, industrial Ethernet, and traditional industrial internet, noting that in 2026, the industry has officially entered a new stage of intelligent agent industrial internet. Qian Feng, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, stated that it is necessary to leverage the industrial internet to build an industrial brain, constructing a production and manufacturing embodied intelligent system covering the entire lifecycle of manufacturing.

The "Implementation Opinions" propose that by 2030, 50,000 industrial 5G private networks will be built, and approximately five comprehensive platforms with international influence will be created; integrated applications will achieve full coverage of 207 medium industrial categories. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will develop new industrial network technology products and establish a number of industrial internet technology innovation pilot centers.
