Samsung Electronics and Checkout.com Announce Global Payment Partnership

The two parties will deploy payment processing and AI optimization technologies across Samsung Electronics' digital commerce operations, expanding the coverage of related services in European and North American markets. Samsung Electronics will adopt Checkout.com's Intelligent Acceptance payment optimization system, and Samsung Pay is scheduled to integrate with Checkout.com's Flow payment integration platform starting October 31.

Under the partnership arrangement, Checkout.com will expand its existing payment processing services from the Middle East and North Africa market to the European Union and North America, covering Samsung Electronics' official website Samsung.com and the Galaxy Store app store. The company previously provided payment processing services for Samsung Gulf Electronics, supporting Samsung.com's online transactions in the Middle East and North Africa region. This partnership will integrate Checkout.com's global and local acquiring networks, payment processing platform, and AI optimization technologies.

The Intelligent Acceptance system adopted by Samsung Electronics dynamically optimizes payment requests, transaction routing, and failed transaction retry processes by analyzing real-time transaction data across global payment networks. The platform supports adjusting transaction messages according to issuer requirements and handles different payment scenarios by combining network tokens and authentication mechanisms. Samsung Electronics will leverage these technologies to improve payment success rates and processing efficiency for cross-regional transactions.

Samsung Pay is scheduled to become available to Checkout.com's existing merchants through the Flow platform starting October 31, allowing merchants to integrate it as a digital wallet payment option in their website and mobile app checkout flows. Flow adopts a low-code integration approach, enabling merchants to configure different payment methods through a unified payment interface. The newly added Samsung Pay payment option is available to Checkout.com's merchant network, and Samsung Electronics has stated a potential end-user reach of more than 1 billion Galaxy phone users worldwide.
