India's Trentar Plans to Invest INR 300 Billion to Build a 500MW Data Center Campus

en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 6, Trentar Private Limited, the technology and infrastructure business company under Dorf Ketal Chemicals, plans to invest approximately INR 300 billion in Maharashtra, India, to build a 500MW green integrated hyperscale data center campus. The company is currently evaluating multiple land options across Maharashtra, and the assessment is expected to be completed in about one month.

Under the current arrangement, Trentar may subsequently sign a project Memorandum of Understanding with the Maharashtra government. The project is still in the preliminary site selection and investment preparation stage, and the specific construction location, land area, phased capacity, construction timeline, and commissioning date have not yet been announced.

The Maharashtra government is expected to coordinate the permits, registrations, approvals, customs clearance, and applicable incentives involved in the project under the existing policy and regulatory framework. Currently available public reports have not yet disclosed the project's power access plan, renewable energy configuration, cooling system, EPC contractor, data center operator, or end customers.

If the disclosed 500MW project proceeds according to the current plan, it will be a newly added large-scale hyperscale data center campus project in Maharashtra.
