en.Wedoany.com Reported - On September 24, U.S. cloud computing service provider Vultr announced the expansion of its partnership with VAST Data, further integrating Vultr's global cloud computing and Cloud GPU infrastructure with the VAST AI Data Platform to provide unified compute and data infrastructure for large-scale AI model training, real-time inference, retrieval-augmented generation, and data-intensive AI workloads. The collaboration continues to advance through the Vultr Cloud Alliance.

The collaboration focuses on compute and data coordination in production-grade AI environments. Vultr provides cloud computing resources including CPUs and GPUs, while VAST provides AI data infrastructure. Enterprises can scale the compute layer and data layer separately based on model size, data volume, and workload, and complete data access, training, inference, and AI application deployment within the same architecture.

In March of this year, the two parties already began collaborating around AI inference infrastructure, combining Vultr cloud computing, the VAST AI Operating System, and the NVIDIA Dynamo inference framework and Nemotron models to build infrastructure solutions for enterprise AI inference. The September upgrade further extends the scope of collaboration to more complete production AI workloads.

At the data layer, VAST has recently continued to expand its AI infrastructure capabilities. On September 22, the company launched the DataEnclave confidential AI runtime environment, which can run AI models and access sensitive enterprise data in controlled infrastructure. The related architecture is based on NVIDIA Confidential Computing and can be used for enterprise AI deployments with high requirements for data security and model intellectual property protection.

Vultr and VAST currently have not disclosed the additional GPU scale, storage capacity, capital investment, or specific new data center locations corresponding to this round of collaboration. This collaboration mainly focuses on the integration and commercial deployment of existing cloud infrastructure and the AI data platform.
