en.Wedoany.com Reported - On July 24, Qian Chaoyang, Chairman and Party Secretary of China Southern Power Grid Company (CSG), held talks with Liu Weiping, Chairman and Party Secretary of China Three Gorges Corporation (CTG), focusing on further deepening close cooperation. On the same day, Qian Chaoyang also held talks with Ge Haijiao, Chairman and Party Secretary of Bank of China (BOC).

Founded on December 29, 2002, CSG is a key state-owned backbone enterprise under central management, related to national security and the lifeline of the national economy. The company is responsible for investing in, constructing, and operating the southern regional power grid, and participates in investing in, constructing, and operating related cross-regional power transmission and interconnection projects. It provides power supply services for five provinces (Guangdong, Guangxi, Yunnan, Guizhou, Hainan) and the Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative Regions. With power transmission and distribution as its core business, CSG synergistically develops emerging businesses, international operations, industrial finance, and shared services, comprising five major strategic units.

CTG, the world's largest hydropower development and operation enterprise and a leading clean energy and ecological environmental protection group in China, is one of the first batch of world-class demonstration enterprises identified by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC). As of the end of 2025, CTG had a controllable installed capacity of 168 million kilowatts and total assets of 1.52 trillion yuan, maintaining a sovereign credit rating. Its indicators such as total profit, net profit attributable to the parent company, profit-to-cost ratio, overall labor productivity, and per capita profit continue to rank among the top central enterprises.

BOC, officially established in February 1912, was restructured into a wholly state-owned commercial bank in 1994, providing a full range of financial services. It has developed into a large commercial bank with both domestic and foreign currency operations, a complete range of business varieties, and strong strength. In 2011, BOC became the first global systemically important bank (G-SIB) from an emerging economy and has been selected for 15 consecutive years, with its international standing, competitiveness, and comprehensive strength ranking among the world's leading large banks.

On July 24, Qian Chaoyang, Chairman and Party Secretary of CSG, held talks with visiting Liu Weiping, Chairman and Party Secretary of CTG, for in-depth exchanges on further advancing close cooperation. Shan Shulan, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Chief Accountant of CSG, and Li Rui, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice President, along with Xie Song, Chief Accountant and Member of the Party Leadership Group of CTG, attended the talks.

Qian Chaoyang welcomed Liu Weiping and his delegation, thanking CTG for its long-term support of CSG's work. Qian stated that CSG is thoroughly implementing the "Four Revolutions and One Cooperation" energy security strategy, accelerating the construction of a new-type power grid, and promoting the development of a new-type power system and a new-type energy system. On the new journey of the "15th Five-Year Plan," CSG is willing to further strengthen cooperation with CTG, seize opportunities in the "Six Networks" construction, deepen the integrated coordination of water and power grids to fully safeguard national energy security; deepen the integrated tackling of science and technology industries to cultivate and develop new quality productive forces in the power sector; deepen the integrated linkage of capital and finance to accelerate mutual empowerment between industry and finance; and deepen the integrated expansion of the Global South to better participate in opening-up and cooperation.

Liu Weiping thanked CSG for its strong support and assistance to CTG over the years and introduced CTG's reform and development progress. Liu stated that in recent years, CTG and CSG have closely cooperated in areas such as new-type power system construction and clean energy development, making positive contributions to serving national major strategies. Looking ahead to the "15th Five-Year Plan," both sides hope to fully leverage their respective advantages, focus on areas such as energy security, technological innovation, and international business, further expand the breadth and depth of cooperation, achieve high-quality development through mutual benefit and win-win results, and jointly promote the deep integration of technological innovation and industrial innovation in the power industry, making greater contributions to ensuring national energy security and accelerating the comprehensive green transformation of economic and social development.

China Southern Power Grid and Bank of China Sign Strategic Cooperation Agreement

On July 24, CSG and BOC signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Guangzhou. Qian Chaoyang, Chairman and Party Secretary of CSG, and Ge Haijiao, Chairman and Party Secretary of BOC, attended the event and witnessed the signing. Shan Shulan, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Chief Accountant of CSG, and Yang Jun, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice President of BOC, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective sides. Prior to the signing, the two sides held talks.

Qian Chaoyang welcomed Ge Haijiao and his delegation, thanking BOC for its long-term support of CSG's work.
