en.Wedoany.com Reported - On July 26, CATL released an investor relations activity record announcement today, stating that in the first half of 2026, combined sales of power and energy storage batteries increased by approximately 60% year-on-year, with energy storage battery sales accounting for about one-quarter of the total.

CATL stated that based on the company's current situation, the energy storage market is expected to maintain relatively rapid growth this year and next. Capacity utilization in the first half of the year was basically saturated, and the company has prepared inventory and advanced capacity construction to meet related customer demand.

In the first half of the year, CATL's domestic energy storage sales accounted for a slightly higher proportion than overseas sales. Among these, energy storage systems accounted for nearly 70%, and the 587Ah large-format energy storage cells have achieved mass delivery.

In June 2025, CATL announced the official mass production and delivery of the 587Ah cells. The CATL 587Ah cells feature an energy density of 430Wh/L and offer superior safety performance compared to smaller cells. By introducing a series of core technologies such as safe electrolyte technology and high heat-resistant membrane technology, CATL ensures that the cells do not catch fire or explode under conditions of overcharging, thermal runaway, or nail penetration.

The CATL 587Ah cells are approximately 215mm in height and 275mm in width, balancing energy density, cycle life, and reliability. The round-trip efficiency (RTE) during charge and discharge cycles reaches 95.5%, and the cells are touted as having a "true 25-year long lifespan."
