Russia's Crude Steel Output in June 2026 Shows Month-on-Month and Year-on-Year Growth

en.Wedoany.com Reported - According to the latest data from the Federal State Statistics Service of Russia (Росстат), in June 2026, the country's metallurgical enterprises produced more crude steel than in May, and also achieved positive growth compared to the same period in 2025. However, cumulative output since the beginning of the year still lags behind the same period last year by 7.7%.

In the construction sector, residential construction performed positively in June 2026, with indicators showing growth both month-on-month compared to May and year-on-year compared to June 2025. The double-digit growth in residential projects has brought positive expectations to the market.

A survey conducted by the Federal State Statistics Service of Russia (Росстат) among heads of construction organizations shows that in the second quarter of 2026, 65% of respondents rated the economic situation in the construction industry as "satisfactory," 18% as "unsatisfactory," and 6% as "favorable."

For the third quarter of 2026, 63% of heads of construction organizations expect the situation to remain unchanged, 20% believe the economic situation will improve, and 6% anticipate a deterioration.
