en.Wedoany.com Reported - According to the China Enterprise Reform and Development Society, the "2026 Energy Industry Ecological Report" has been officially released. The report shows that during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, China's wind and solar power capacity historically surpassed thermal power, leading the world in nuclear and biomass energy.

During the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, China's energy industry achieved coordinated development between secure supply and green, low-carbon transformation. In 2025, total investment in national key energy projects exceeded 3.5 trillion yuan for the first time, a year-on-year increase of nearly 11%.

The new energy industry achieved leapfrog development, with wind and solar power capacity rising from 530 GW to 1,840 GW between 2020 and 2025. China's total installed nuclear power capacity firmly ranks first globally, and biomass power generation capacity has ranked first globally for seven consecutive years.

In terms of traditional fossil energy, raw coal output accounts for approximately 65% of the country's total primary energy production, and the world's largest clean coal power supply system has been established; oil and gas supply capacity has steadily improved, with crude oil output remaining stable at 200 million tons for four consecutive years, and natural gas output increasing by over 10 billion cubic meters annually for nine consecutive years.

In the next step for China's energy industry development, efforts will focus on vigorously promoting the mutual empowerment of artificial intelligence and energy, providing comprehensive support for the construction of a clean, low-carbon, safe, and efficient modern new energy system.
