en.Wedoany.com Reported - Brazilian operators rank highly in nPerf's global fixed and mobile network quality rankings. The list, compiled by the speed test platform nPerf, covers speed test records collected between April 2025 and May 2026 in countries with a territorial area exceeding 1.5 square kilometers, including Brazil, India, Russia, Argentina, and the United States, among others.

In fixed broadband, Vivo performed best in stability metrics, achieving a reliability rate of 53.87%, tied for first place globally with Mexico's Totalplay. In average download speed, Claro led with 242.55 Mbps; Vivo ranked second at 236.63 Mbps, followed by Nio at 225.42 Mbps.
In mobile networks, all three major Brazilian operators made nPerf's global top ten. Vivo tied for first place with Saudi Telecom (stc) with a score of 67,970 points and led in 4G/5G stability; Claro ranked seventh overall; TIM ranked tenth. These figures indicate that, despite Brazil's vast territorial expanse, local operators are still able to maintain a high level of network service.
These results align with the scale of recent investment in Brazil's telecommunications infrastructure. The advancement of fiber-optic networks and the expansion of 5G networks have significantly improved the country's network stability levels.
The next technological focus is Direct-to-Device (D2D), which involves transmitting satellite signals directly to mobile phones without the need for external antennas or dedicated equipment. This technology aims to eliminate signal dead zones in rural and remote areas; satellites will not replace urban base stations but will cover regions unreachable by terrestrial networks. Starlink has already signed a cooperation agreement with a domestic Brazilian operator to operate this technology locally, with indications suggesting the partner is either Claro or Vivo. Against the backdrop of parallel development of fiber-optic networks and orbital satellite signals, Brazil is well-positioned to maintain a strong standing in future international rankings.
