en.Wedoany.com Reported - Porter Airlines Holdings Inc. (PAHI) has reached a financing agreement with Brazil's National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) to fund the acquisition of up to 19 Embraer E195-E2 aircraft. BNDES's financing commitment is fully supported by export credit insurance from the Brazilian Export Credit Guarantee Fund (FGE), which is managed by the Brazilian Guarantees and Agencies Fund (ABGF).

These aircraft are part of Porter Airlines' previously confirmed order for 75 E2 aircraft, of which 54 have already been delivered. The new financing arrangement will cover aircraft scheduled for delivery from now through December 2030. Of Porter's current fleet of 54 E2 aircraft, three have already been supported through BNDES financing.
Since introducing the E2 in 2023, Porter Airlines has continued to expand across the North American market, with routes now covering Canada, the United States, Latin America, and the Caribbean. The aircraft features a 2-2 cabin layout with no middle seats, complimentary draft beer and wine served onboard, and free high-speed Wi-Fi for every passenger.
Rob Palmer, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Porter Airlines, stated that the E2 fleet has carried millions of new passengers on Porter flights in recent years, and completing financing for most of the remaining E2 firm orders, with support from BNDES and ABGF at this stage, demonstrates that the business plan is progressing as expected.
Aloizio Mercadante, President of BNDES, said that BNDES plays an important role in supporting Embraer's expansion into North American airline customers, noting that the aircraft model features more advanced technology and lower environmental impact. Felipe Santana, Executive Vice President of Finance and Investor Relations at Embraer, stated that Porter Airlines is one of the world's largest E2 operators and a benchmark for passenger experience in the highly competitive North American market, expressing satisfaction with the growth of the customer's fleet and the export cooperation with BNDES.
Under the agreement, the financing arrangement provides Porter Airlines with financing options for E2 deliveries expected through 2030.
