An Indian anti-corrosion company has introduced a dual-material solution for comprehensive corrosion management, combining German-engineered graphite solutions with advanced seamless lining technology for larger-diameter equipment to deliver a zero-failure processing solution and reduce total cost of ownership (TCO).

Graphite material is inherently brittle. The company's graphite products overcome this limitation through process integrity and materials science control, with all plant processes executed in accordance with SGL Carbon standards and supported by a lifetime technical license agreement; base graphite is sourced exclusively from SGL-approved suppliers, and production strictly follows standard operating procedures (SOPs) established by SGL.

The graphite material undergoes a deep-core impregnation process developed by SGL, in which high-quality phenolic resin is impregnated to the innermost core of the graphite, eliminating internal porosity and preventing future in-service leakage. These international benchmarks are designed to ensure long-term reliability for end users, reduce plant downtime, and lower operational costs.

In anti-corrosion lining, traditional sheet linings rely on welded joints, which are prone to structural defects at seams and premature failure; conventional ETFE rotary linings suffer from thin and uneven wall thickness and poor vacuum performance.

The company's new product development strategy employs specially designed fluoropolymers to create fully seamless, thick-walled liners. Its lining process guarantees uniform thickness, enabling equipment to withstand full vacuum conditions under high-temperature operating conditions.

In the large-diameter seamless PTFE lining product line, the company offers three types of equipment. Seamless paste-extruded linings, up to 72 inches in diameter, feature no reinforcement layer, eliminating weld failure risks and offering superior durability compared to ETFE; full-vacuum-resistant columns, up to 24 inches in diameter, adopt a graphite-sleeve-free design to reduce the number of complex components and overall weight; heavy-duty full-vacuum reactors, up to 72 inches in diameter, are reinforced with graphite sleeves to resist collapse forces under extreme vacuum.

By combining high-performance graphite with vacuum-grade fluoropolymer linings, the company offers CPI operators a single-source engineered combination. Deep-core impregnated graphite and seamless linings prevent hazardous leaks; engineered materials resist corrosive media and mechanical vacuum stress, extending asset life; and compared to lower-grade lining alternatives, higher initial material integrity reduces maintenance, repair, and downtime losses, thereby optimizing total cost of ownership.
