en.Wedoany.com Reported - Severstal Steel Solutions (Северсталь Стальные Решения) will participate as a partner in the construction of the Central Football Academy named after Lev Yashin for FC Dynamo Moscow. The academy is located in the South Tushino district in northwestern Moscow, and the project will utilize solutions based on high-strength and fire-resistant steel.

The company will handle the full-cycle scope of work, from design optimization and metal structure production to installation and fireproofing coating application. The project employs Powerweld 420 high-strength steel and C390П fire-resistant steel — the former reduces metal consumption and optimizes costs through its high-strength properties, while the latter reduces fireproofing layer thickness and application costs. The total supply volume exceeds 4,000 tonnes, with the first deliveries scheduled for autumn 2026. The metal structures will be manufactured at the Obninsk (Обнинск) production facility.

The Dynamo Football Academy named after Lev Yashin is a federal-level project. Dynamo is one of Russia's most popular and most decorated clubs, and its academy has been named Moscow's best football academy three times in recent years, producing professional athletes who reach the level of the Russian national team every year. The new academy complex will become a center for nurturing the next generation of players, with approximately 300 boys and girls aged 5 to 17 able to train in professional football free of charge each year. The complex covers a total area of nearly 50,000 square meters, including an administrative building, an indoor football pitch, a stadium with a match field, training grounds, and changing rooms. The 12.5-hectare site will feature a landscaped riverside promenade, a recreational park for walking and leisure, as well as open-air sports and children's play areas open to all residents of the district. Construction is scheduled for completion in 2029, marking the 100th anniversary of the birth of the legendary goalkeeper and Ballon d'Or winner Lev Yashin.

Pyotr Mishnev (Петр Мишнев), Director of the Severstal Engineering Center (Северсталь Инжиниринг), stated that the academy is of great significance to Moscow and Russian football, and that such facilities demand high precision in design, as well as safety and reliability of structural solutions. The use of high-strength and fire-resistant steel grades allows for optimized metal consumption and fire protection volume without compromising structural load-bearing capacity, which is particularly important for sports facilities with high occupant density. The project is accelerating production and installation, with the goal of designing structures capable of operating for decades under such intensive use conditions.

Vladimir Litvinov (Владимир Литвинов), General Director of the Central Dynamo Football Academy, stated that Dynamo is one of Russia's leading football clubs, with a large number of players coming through the club's youth development system. Once the academy is equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure based on modern teaching methods and professional coaches, the efficiency of youth development will improve even further. The project also creates a new recreational area for Moscow residents. Litvinov also noted that Severstal, as a project partner, is a company providing efficient engineering solutions for modern civil infrastructure construction.
