en.Wedoany.com Reported - Airbus has released its first-half 2026 results, posting a net profit of €2.243 billion, up 47% year-on-year, driven primarily by increased commercial aircraft deliveries, with revenue rising 12% over the same period.

According to the company's announcement, commercial aircraft business revenue grew 15% to €23.9 billion, reflecting higher deliveries and service growth, partially offset by the depreciation of the U.S. dollar relative to the first half of 2025. The segment's adjusted earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) stood at €1.987 billion, up from €1.714 billion in the same period last year. A total of 351 commercial aircraft were delivered in the first half, an increase of 45 units compared to 306 in the same period of 2025; net commercial aircraft orders totaled 821, versus 402 in the year-ago period. As of the end of June, the order backlog stood at 9,222 aircraft.

Airbus Helicopters recorded 215 net orders, compared to 171 in the first half of 2025; deliveries increased from 138 to 144 units, with revenue remaining broadly stable at €3.7 billion. Airbus Defence and Space achieved the largest operational improvement, with revenue up 9% year-on-year to €6.3 billion, benefiting from higher volumes across all business segments; new orders reached €9.3 billion, compared to €5.1 billion in the same period of 2025.

Airbus maintains its full-year 2026 guidance: approximately 870 commercial aircraft deliveries, adjusted EBIT of around €7.5 billion, and free cash flow before customer financing of approximately €4.5 billion.
