Brazil's Azul carried nearly 15 million passengers in the first half of the year
en.Wedoany.com Reported - Brazil's Azul Linhas Aéreas transported over 14.98 million passengers on domestic and international routes in the first half of this year, while offering more than 18.93 million seats during the same period. These results were released by Brazil's National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC).

Between January and June, the route with the highest passenger volume was Recife to Viracopos, followed by Recife to Guarulhos, Congonhas to Santos Dumont, Porto Alegre to Viracopos, and Congonhas to Confins.
The company stated that its operational performance in the first half positioned it as a leader in the states of Amazonas, Minas Gerais, Pará, and Pernambuco. In a statement, the company noted that these results underscore the importance of regional connectivity and the role of air transport in driving economic and tourism development in these regions.
In June alone, Azul carried over 2.35 million passengers and offered more than 3 million seats. The five busiest routes that month were, in order: Recife—Guarulhos, Porto Alegre—Viracopos, Congonhas—Santos Dumont, Recife—Viracopos, and Congonhas—Confins.
Henrique Cerchi Saad, Azul's Senior Manager of Strategic Planning, stated that carrying nearly 15 million passengers in the first six months of the year reflects the stability of the company's operations in Brazil. He said these figures demonstrate Azul's strength as an integrated domestic and international carrier, confirm travel demand between economic hubs and leisure destinations, and provide valuable insights for planning operations in the coming months.
