en.Wedoany.com Reported - Southern Hemisphere Mining (ASX:SUH) has reported significant intersections from diamond drill hole extensions at its Llahuin copper-gold-molybdenum project in Chile, with multiple holes revealing thick copper sulphide mineralisation.

The company completed nine diamond drill hole extensions on the basis of previous reverse circulation drilling, totalling 2,251 metres of HQ3 core. Specific intersection results include: hole 24LHRD067 returned 241 metres at 0.42% copper equivalent (CuEq) from 18 metres, including 143 metres at 0.51% CuEq from 36 metres; hole 24LHRD065 returned 154 metres at 0.66% CuEq from surface; and hole 24LHRD055 returned 156 metres at 0.43% CuEq from 2 metres, including 106 metres at 0.51% CuEq from 2 metres.
Chairman Mark Stowell stated that these results continue to demonstrate the scale potential of the Llahuin copper system. Results such as 154 metres at 0.66% CuEq from surface in hole 24LHRD065 speak for themselves at this early stage of advancing deeper drilling. He noted that mineralisation remains open at depth, supporting the view that the Cerro-Ferro structural belt hosts a large porphyry copper system with significant expansion potential, consistent with the previously reported exploration target of 260 to 340 million tonnes.
Drilling at Ferro South indicates a new porphyry centre at Llahuin, with the intensity of veining and sulphide mineralisation showing that the company is advancing towards a more strongly mineralised zone within the system. Further deep drilling will test the feeder zone that has not yet been intersected, which may offer significant upside with potentially higher grades.
A resource upgrade is underway and will be completed upon receipt of final results. The company plans to continue advancing deeper drilling and resource expansion in the next phase. Southern Hemisphere Mining is an Australian exploration company advancing multiple critical mineral assets in Chile.
