en.Wedoany.com Reported - Envision Energy has signed a contract with Vietnam's REE Energy for a 200 MW wind power project. This is the largest wind power project Envision Energy has undertaken in Vietnam and its largest single overseas nearshore wind project to date.

The signed Phu Cuong 1A and 1B projects will install 25 EN-226/8.X YE wind turbine generators. Turbine delivery is scheduled to commence in the second quarter of 2027, with grid connection targeted for October 2027. Envision Energy stated that this turbine model has been adapted for Vietnam's nearshore wind conditions, expected to achieve optimization in both power generation enhancement and long-term operational reliability.

The Phu Cuong project marks the second collaboration between Envision Energy and REE Energy. The two parties previously advanced the 128 MW Vinh Long wind power project in Vietnam, where turbine production began in April 2026 and is currently being delivered in phases.

Edward Hou, Senior Vice President and President of Envision Energy Asia Pacific, stated that the Phu Cuong project aims to demonstrate the long-term value that localized adaptation technology, reliable execution, and full lifecycle services can bring to project owners. He also noted that this project represents a significant practice of Envision Energy's "Future Energy System" in Southeast Asia. This system integrates intelligent renewable power generation, energy storage, AI-driven energy management, and digital capabilities, with the goal of providing more reliable and resilient support for clean energy infrastructure.

Nguyen Quang Quyen, Managing Director of REE Energy, stated that the Phu Cuong project builds on the foundation of the two parties' collaboration on the Vinh Long wind power project. He believes that the progress achieved in the Vinh Long project has deepened REE Energy's trust in Envision Energy as a long-term partner.
