Arcadia Namibia TVC Project Identifies Six Targets, Plans ~1,200m Drilling

en.Wedoany.com Reported - Arcadia Minerals (ASX:AM7) has identified six new ultramafic bodies at the TVC Kum-Kum polymetallic project in southern Namibia and plans approximately 1,200 meters of diamond drilling. Subject to funding, drilling will target three sites within the Tantalite Valley Complex: approximately 400 meters of HQ-size drilling at Site 1 to replicate and confirm historical results, and two holes of approximately 200 meters each at Sites 2 and 7, totaling four holes.

The company stated that these targets were derived from analysis of hyperspectral imagery, geological mapping, petrography, and geochemical datasets. Mapping, supported by 157 samples, identified a total of eight ultramafic bodies, six of which are newly recognized. Site 7 exceeds 80 meters in thickness and dips toward Site 2, with both capped by anorthosite, which Arcadia interprets as forming a trough-like single layered structure beneath the valley floor—a geometry similar to the stratiform Merensky-type setting of the Bushveld Igneous Complex in South Africa. The newly mapped bodies within exploration license EPL 5047 have not yet been drilled.

Historical drilling data (from 1972 to 1976) shows: 16m @ 0.65% nickel (Ni) and 0.16% copper (Cu), 6m @ 0.61% Ni and 0.30% Cu, and 2.44m @ 0.62% Ni and 0.30% Cu. Arcadia previously re-sampled historical core and also obtained assay results of up to 0.71% Ni, 0.28% Cu, 0.84 g/t palladium (Pd), 0.4 g/t platinum (Pt), and 0.26 g/t gold (Au) from orthopyroxenite.

Detailed mapping is currently underway to determine the precise collar positions for the two holes at each of Sites 2 and 7. Arcadia will also extend surface geochemical sampling to Sites 3, 4, 5, 6, and 8 to prioritize additional targets. The company previously found that its oriented sampling program reproduced the historical nickel anomaly from Rio Tinto (ASX:RIO), a result that supports applying this method to the remaining targets.
