en.Wedoany.com Reported - On August 7, a delivery ceremony for the first batch of materials under China's new household solar equipment project for Cuba was held in Cuba. The project comprises 5,000 household solar-storage systems, aimed at improving electricity access for families in remote areas and key public service institutions.

Compared with the 5,000 sets of 2 kW photovoltaic equipment delivered in November 2025, the new batch features a higher per-unit power output of 3.6 kW and a storage capacity of 14.3 kWh, approximately twice that of the previous batch. The equipment has also been adaptively optimized for Cuba's grid operating conditions and tropical climate.

The new equipment is planned to be distributed across 169 municipalities in Cuba, covering remote residential areas, medical and emergency service centers, childcare facilities, children's homes without family care, elderly care institutions, and bank branches, providing distributed photovoltaic power generation and storage support for these locations.

This delivery continues the first batch of household solar equipment assistance implemented in 2025. The previous batch of 5,000 systems primarily used 2 kW photovoltaic systems, while the new batch features simultaneous upgrades in power generation capacity and storage configuration, enabling it to handle higher electricity loads for households and public service facilities.
