en.Wedoany.com Reported - The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) released the 19th crop progress report of the 2026 growing season on Monday, with data as of August 9, covering growth progress and crop conditions for corn, soybeans, winter wheat, spring wheat, and oats.

For corn, as of August 9, 94% of corn in the 18 major corn-producing states had reached the silking stage, slightly above the five-year average of 93%; 61% had reached the dough stage, compared to the five-year average of 55%; and 16% had reached the dented stage, above the five-year average of 12%. That week, corn condition was rated 61% good-to-excellent, 25% fair, and 14% poor-to-very-poor. The good-to-excellent rating was unchanged from the previous week at 61%, compared to 72% at the same time last year.

For soybeans, as of August 9, 93% of soybeans in the 18 major soybean-producing states had bloomed, above the five-year average of 91%; 74% had set pods, above the five-year average of 69%. That week, soybean condition was rated 62% good-to-excellent, 28% fair, and 10% poor-to-very-poor. Last week, the soybean good-to-excellent rating was 63%, compared to 68% at the same time last year.

For winter wheat, as of August 9, 91% of winter wheat in the 18 major winter wheat-producing states had been harvested, in line with the five-year average.

For spring wheat, 24% of spring wheat in the six spring wheat-producing states had been harvested as of August 9, above the five-year average of 19%. That week, spring wheat condition was rated 51% good-to-excellent, 33% fair, and 16% poor-to-very-poor. Last week, the spring wheat good-to-excellent rating was 55%, compared to 49% at the same time last year.

For oats, 63% of oats in the nine major oat-producing states had been harvested as of August 9, above the five-year average of 55%. That week, oat condition was rated 46% good-to-excellent, 30% fair, and 24% poor-to-very-poor. Last week, the oat good-to-excellent rating was 47%, compared to 58% at the same time last year.
