Malaysia's AMS Ecogreen obtains scrap aluminum business license, plans to process 17 tonnes per month

en.Wedoany.com Reported - AMS Ecogreen, a subsidiary of Malaysian aluminum materials supplier AMS Advanced Material, has obtained the necessary licenses to operate a scrap aluminum business, planning to collect, process, and sell scrap aluminum in Johor, with an initial planned processing capacity of 17 tonnes per month.

AMS Advanced Material is primarily engaged in the trading of aluminum and copper semi-finished products as well as aluminum processing. AMS Ecogreen's new business will take over scrap aluminum generated by the group's existing customers and process it into sellable materials.

During its IPO phase in March, AMS stated that AMS Ecogreen, in which it holds a 60% stake, was still applying for the relevant licenses and planned to launch a scrap aluminum business in Johor. The acquisition of the license marks a new milestone in advancing this business from preparation to implementation, but the report did not disclose the license issuance date or the official operation start time.
