en.Wedoany.com Reported - • ABB Xiamen Industrial Center was recognized as a "National Key R&D Program Demonstration Project," pioneering the market-based application of innovative multi-energy flexible systems in hot and humid regions.
• Intelligent coordination enables energy to "self-regulate and respond," empowering the development of new power systems.
• From a low-carbon park to a national demonstration, it sets a replicable benchmark for green transformation of industrial parks.
On December 26, 2025, the demonstration project inauguration ceremony for the national key project—"Research and Application of Key Technologies for Source-Grid-Load-Storage-Use in Multi-Energy Flexible Systems in Hot and Humid Regions"—was grandly held in Hangzhou. This project is key-supported by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of the People's Republic of China and led by State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power Co., Ltd. More than 50 attendees participated in the meeting, including Jiang Yi, academician of the School of Architecture at Tsinghua University; Wu Zhifu, project leader and Level-3 Consultant/Senior Engineer (Professor-level) of the UHV Construction Branch of State Grid Corporation of China; as well as experts and project team representatives. ABB Xiamen Industrial Center,凭借其在低碳园区建设与能源系统创新方面的突出实践,成功入选该项目三大示范落地单位之一,并正式获颁"'十四五'国家重点研发计划项目示范工程"铭牌。
At the inauguration ceremony, Jiang Ying, Head of Product Marketing and Digital Business for ABB Electrification Distribution Systems in China, delivered a keynote speech titled "Multi-Energy Flexible Source-Grid-Load-Storage-Use Demonstration Project at ABB Xiamen Industrial Center Park," comprehensively sharing the application results of the multi-energy flexible system in Xiamen's typical hot and humid environment. The speech showcased the system's significant achievements in energy efficiency improvement, carbon emission reduction, and grid coordination, providing a scalable and referential solution for energy system upgrades in similar climate regions across the country.

Luo Hui, Head of ABB Electrification Distribution Systems Business in China, stated: "Being recognized as a 'National Key Project Demonstration Project' is a high affirmation of ABB's technical strength and implementation capability in the energy transition field. Currently, the country is vigorously promoting the integrated development of 'source-grid-load-storage' in power systems. Industrial parks, as key areas of energy consumption and carbon emissions, are becoming critical breakthroughs for green transformation. In the future, ABB will continue to deepen innovation in 'source-grid-load-storage' collaborative technologies and work with customers and partners to address energy transition pain points across key scenarios."
As a benchmark project for ABB's sustainable development in China, the "Zero Emission Vision" demonstration project at ABB Xiamen Industrial Center has built an AI-based "source-grid-load-storage" collaborative control system, achieving precise and intelligent operation of the energy system. The system innovatively creates five intelligent agent modules—photovoltaic, energy storage, building load, production load, and distribution-microgrid coordination—and leverages a central control intelligent agent for global optimization, enabling real-time dynamic management and efficient response of energy facilities.
Its core technical advantages lie in its ability to flexibly adjust 5% to 20% of the park's electricity load. Upon receiving grid demand response commands, it can complete a 2,400 kW load adjustment seamlessly within 1 minute, participating rapidly and smoothly in grid-side demand response. This provides solid technical support and a replicable practical model for source-load interaction under new distribution systems.
