Luo Hui, Head of ABB Electrification Distribution Solutions Business in China, attended the opening ceremony and the dialogue session of the High-Quality Hydropower Development Conference, where he joined industry representatives from the China Water & Electric Power Quality Management Association, Wujiang Hydropower, Huadian, China Yangtze Power, and PowerChina to discuss new pathways for high-quality hydropower development and how to transition from "scale expansion" to a new stage of "green and intelligent" growth.

ABB's "AI + Power" initiative builds a smart hub through comprehensive sensing and AI algorithms, leveraging the SSC600 platform to achieve 95% accuracy in 7-day fault prediction, shifting operations and maintenance from reactive repair to predictive proactive maintenance. Through millisecond-level fault isolation ensuring stable grid integration of new energy, intelligent resource dispatch to enhance green power consumption, and incubation of new business models such as virtual power plants, ABB empowers users to transform into energy prosumers, safeguarding the safe, efficient, and low-carbon development of the new power system. At the exhibition, ABB brings these solutions to life across four dedicated exhibition zones, vividly illustrating the real-world application scenarios of "AI + Power" technology.


In the "AI + Power" exhibition zone, the focus is on innovative power distribution models, showcasing solutions such as the SSC600 AI+ Power System Failure Prediction, the SmartBox AI Health Assistant — Dr. Weian, and the MNS® Digital Management Platform. Through algorithms, these solutions enable early warning of equipment failures and real-time health status monitoring, significantly reducing operations and maintenance costs, improving power system operational efficiency, and upgrading the maintenance model from "reactive repair" to "proactive prevention."


In the zero-carbon park exhibition zone, the focus is on scenarios such as green power consumption and microgrids. Through the iCE600 energy-carbon management platform, virtual power plants and main-distribution-microgrid collaborative solutions, and the ABB Xiamen Industrial Center green microgrid model, the zone presents a comprehensive view of the value of "direct green power supply + smart microgrids." On the supply side, ABB's solutions ensure that every aggregated resource responds with precision; on the demand side, they help users identify every kilowatt-hour of wasted electricity.

On-site physical exhibits include the MNS® 3.0 Digital low-voltage switchgear, PrimeGear® ZX0 eco-friendly gas-insulated switchgear, SafePlus 40.5kV gas-insulated ring main units and compact switchgear, and the 24kV iVD4 medium-voltage intelligent circuit breaker. These products feature high reliability and strong environmental adaptability, making them suitable for the demanding operating conditions of large-scale hydropower bases and high-altitude regions in Southwest China, providing solid power assurance for mega projects.

The exhibition also showcases ABB's practical achievements in large-scale energy, power, and industrial projects.
