The facility is expected to begin production of localized robot solutions in January 2027, with full operations achieved in the first quarter.
Robo Inc.'s business foundation is built on the practical experience RoboStore has accumulated in selling and deploying over 1,500 humanoid and quadruped robots and serving 4,500 customers. The new company's ecosystem combines the global robot supply chain with U.S. engineering, software, integration, production, testing, service, and support capabilities, and incorporates safety and security checkpoints in the integration process, covering data flow, network access, software control, operating environments, and application-specific risks.
During its formation, Robo Inc. studied thousands of purchase, deployment, repair, and integration requests from customers including Harvard University, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Amazon, and NVIDIA, identifying common customer needs: robot solutions that can be deployed for specific current operational problems, with realistic performance expectations, clear safety boundaries, and the ability to integrate into existing workflows—rather than all-in-one humanoid robots promising to handle every task.
Teddy Haggerty, founder and CEO of RoboStore and Robo Inc., stated that Robo Inc. will build a robot platform designed for U.S. compliance through domestic assembly, localized data infrastructure, and domestic integration. In practice, he has seen that customers want solutions that can be deployed now, built around specific tasks, and supported over time—not more distant promises. The new company aims to go beyond simply selling robots to build a localized ecosystem that enables U.S. organizations to apply robotics responsibly and at scale.
Robo Inc. is not tied to specific hardware and will select robot platforms and components based on the specific needs of each application. The new company will work with customers to address applicable cybersecurity, safety, and regulatory requirements, while avoiding exaggeration of the actual capabilities of current robot systems.
RoboStore will continue to support its installed base and existing inventory, including parts, repairs, and upgrades for its service platform. The company's robot developer community, Roboverse, which has over 4,000 members, will continue to operate under Robo Inc.
According to the company's plans, Robo Inc. will combine global robot platforms and components with U.S. engineering, software, integration, safety and security testing, production, service, and support. Its facility in Long Island, New York, is expected to begin production of robot solutions localized for the U.S. market in January 2027.
