Burley completes initial drilling at Cane Bore Iron Ore Project in Western Australia
en.Wedoany.com Reported - Dimension News, Burley Minerals (ASX:BUR) has completed initial reverse circulation (RC) drilling at the Cane Bore Iron Ore Project in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, covering the northern and extension targets.
A total of 59 RC holes were drilled for 1,009 meters, within tenements that have passed heritage surveys. The northern and extension targets form a continuous channel iron deposit (CID) ridge covering more than 290 hectares, with a strike length exceeding 5 kilometers. Hole depths mainly range from 10 to 20 meters, with some extending to 30 meters. Drill samples have been dispatched to a laboratory in Perth, with assay results expected in late September 2026.
Previous surface rock chip sampling returned iron grades of up to 56%. Burley stated that the CID mineralization remains open to the northeast and southwest of the drilled area, with several hundred hectares still to be assessed.
The project is located approximately 90 kilometers east of Onslow, less than 30 kilometers from the sealed Onslow Road, and near the Port of Ashburton, with favorable infrastructure conditions. The company has been approved to drill up to 9 diamond holes for metallurgical and geotechnical data collection, and is currently advancing approvals for infill drilling.
