China's Wheat Procurement Exceeds 90 Million Tons
en.Wedoany.com Reported - Currently, the peak season for summer grain procurement in China has entered its busiest phase. According to the latest data released by the National Food and Strategic Reserves Administration on the 24th, various grain market entities across the country have cumulatively procured over 90 million tons of wheat. The early indica rice in the south has entered a period of concentrated market supply. Procurement efforts are being carried out in an orderly manner across all regions, with overall progress proceeding smoothly.

A relevant official from the National Food and Strategic Reserves Administration stated that, in order to protect the interests of grain farmers, since August, relevant national departments have successively activated the minimum purchase price implementation plan for early indica rice in Jiangxi and Hunan provinces, and activated the minimum purchase price implementation plan for wheat in Henan Province. These measures serve as a policy safety net to stabilize market expectations.
In the next step, the National Food and Strategic Reserves Administration will combine market-based procurement with policy-based storage, continuously monitor weather changes such as rainfall, and guide relevant provinces to strengthen drying and storage capacity, optimize procurement arrangements, and help farmers reduce post-harvest grain losses. At the same time, it will deepen grain production-marketing cooperation and farmer-enterprise partnerships to ensure smooth grain sales for farmers and promote stable market operations.
