Norwegian Sirius Secures Design Contracts for Two Large Construction Support Vessels
en.Wedoany.com Reported - On August 25, Norwegian ship design and systems integrator Sirius Design & Integration AS announced that it has secured design contracts for two large construction support vessels (CSVs), which will be built by Fujian Mawei Shipbuilding Ltd.

The contracts include two firm vessels, plus two optional vessels. The identity of the owner has not been disclosed, with Sirius describing it as a leading company in the energy sector. The vessels are developed based on Sirius's CSV design platform, measuring 144.7 meters in overall length and 27 meters in beam.
Sirius will be responsible for the concept design and the complete basic design package. The vessels will be equipped with two large offshore cranes and two ROV launch and recovery systems, with reserved space for installation reels, vertical lay systems, and other mission equipment.
Erik Haakonsholm, Chief Commercial Officer at Sirius, stated that the company is proud to have been selected as the design partner for these advanced vessels.
